Imsouane, Morocco
Small-group and one-to-one surf coaching on one of Morocco's longest right-hand waves. We work on what actually holds you back — not just standing up.
Most people plateau because nobody tells them what they are actually doing. Our sessions change that. We start on the sand, analyzing the ocean together, talking through the conditions, and covering how to stay safe around other people and boards. Then we hit the water, giving you real-time feedback you can use on the very next wave.
Imsouane is uniquely built for surf progression. The wave is long, readable, and slow enough to let you feel and correct your mistakes mid-ride. That´s why we do our coaching here.

Catch your first wave
From your first wave to advanced progression — choose the format that matches where you actually are.
Beginner
Never surfed, or still finding your feet in the whitewater.
Intermediate & Advanced
Turning, trimming, reading a section and choosing better waves.
Group or private
One to one, in a pair, or a small group capped at four.

The Swell Method
This is not a traditional syllabus you graduate from. It is simply the order I look at technique, and the path most surfers follow to unlock progression. Whatever level you arrive at, we will pinpoint the exact layer that is holding you back from catching more waves and focus our work right there.
Before touching the water, we observe: What is the ocean doing today? Where is the energy coming from, where is it breaking, and why? Spending time studying the waves from the sand saves you energy in the water. A surfer who reads the break will easily out-surf someone relying purely on fitness.
GoalDescribe the session out loud before entering the water.
Most missed waves are missed before the paddle starts. Line-up positioning, using markers on land, drifting with the current instead of fighting it, and knowing when to move rather than wait.
GoalHold a position without being told where to sit.
Prioritize efficiency over power. Board placement is everything: lying too far back prevents the board from skimming, while lying too far forward sinks the nose.
GoalCatch waves without sprinting for them.
One movement, not three. We work on the timing of the pop-up against the wave rather than on the sand in isolation, because the wave is what makes it hard.
GoalStand up already facing the direction you intend to go.
Where you look, balance, and engage your rails determines your ride. Imsouane offers the perfect canvas to practice until it clicks.
GoalMake a deliberate turn, not an accidental one.
The aim is that you do not need me. Every session ends with two or three specific things to work on and how to tell whether they are working, so the progression continues after you leave.
GoalLeave with a plan you can self-assess against.

This fishing village on Morocco's Atlantic coast sits right between Agadir and Essaouira. It features two beautiful bays, a working harbor, and a perfect right-hander that peels far enough to change how you think about a single wave.

The main point wraps into a sheltered bay and breaks right, holding its shape over a long stretch. Because the wave gives you time, it is one of the few places where you can actually practise something mid-ride instead of surviving the drop.
It is a small village that surfing arrived in rather than one built around it. The line-up can be busy in season and it is a mix of travelling surfers, longboarders and locals. Patience in the water goes a long way here.
